Who is Aga Loncar?
Firstly, it is my personal mission to simplify nutrition and educate people as to why it is important to eat the most nutritious foods and how dangerous it is to eat processed foods.
Secondly, I am motivated to bring awareness that life is so much bigger than food. Food is secondary to self love, to our relationships, our spirituality, career and fitness routine.
Do you find yourself lost in constant advertising, nutrition articles and dietary nuances? Are you tired of not knowing what’s really good for you to eat? Are you tired of feeling tired? If so, I'm here to help you :).
I grew up in Poland, loved and participated in all sports. You couldn't find me with a book. My dream was to go to sports oriented high school and become a professional athlete.
Unfortunately things didn't go my way. So what else was there left? I partied my way through high school and half of college :). Seamed like life just took me.
I got very skinny and that's how my preoccupation and control with food began. I shifted away from all sports and exercise for 6 years. I develop a herniated disk. How Sad.
In 2001 my parents and I moved to United States. My dad was appointed a consul general of Poland here in Chicago. I studied Political Science and Mass Media but kept wondering why, it just didn't feel like me.
One day I grabbed a fitness magazine (Fitness Rx) I saw a cover photo and said this is how I am going to look like. I researched what I needed to do to get there. I became interested in body building and that led me to becoming a personal trainer.
Year later I gained 22 lbs of muscle, training 6 days per week, eating on schedule.
I competed in 2 bikini and figure competitions. This however wasn’t for me because it's a selfish and unhealthy sport (at least it was for me). In addition, there is no performance component at the end except for 5 min of standing on stage. While I can be a little vain, this didn’t represent who I am.
After this experience I focused my energy on how to become a better trainer. It was one thing to get myself in shape, and it's another to help others.
I studied what the best coaches who get real results with real people were doing. All of them were combining training, nutrition & motivation for their clients, so naturally I wanted to do the same.

During the health coaching program I learned about the concept called primary foods, which include: relationships, career, spirituality and exercise. Primary foods have bigger impact on our health than the food we eat itself.
The concept of primary foods and "School of greatness" by Lewis Howes motivated me to redesign my business. I address nutrition and fitness coaching together, and forgo standard personal training. This way, on monthly basis I can help more people who want to take their health and fitness into their own hands.
During the last 20 years I not only read and studied different diets, I tried nearly all of them. This experience has led me to a belief that the best and only approach to a balanced life and a balanced diet is learning how to listen to your body. Why? When you listen to your body you give your body not what you or somebody else who designed your diet "thinks" you need, but what you get what you really need. A a result, this increases the overall quality of your life.
Whats the catch? In order to listen to your body you have to eliminate addictive processed foods, which are loaded with sugar, salt and unhealthy fats. It's likely that you may also need to restore your gut heath and fix your metabolism. I can help with these goals.
With continuing education, my experience with nutrition and diets and 12 years of training and working with clients, my philosophy is simple:
Live your life. Eat real food. Decide to eat well and do it. Stop diet shopping. Don’t count calories, make calories count. Calories are not all created equal. Restore your natural ability to feel hungry or satisfied. Be happy and positive. Change the habits that are not working. Stick to the program. Cut out sugar & processed food. Eat according to your activity level. Just because you see a lean athlete drinking a sports drink doesn't mean you should too.
Nutrition & Fitness Coaching is not about secrets, magic pills or waiting for the next best thing. Its about setting a proper goal followed by action steps and reaching that goal. Its about trust, consistency, transparency and the truth.
If you are struggling with: weight loss, yoyo dieting, would like to gain muscle, have more energy, get your cravings under control, learn how to listen to your body.
